A Slacker...

is what I am. At least in relation to my blog. Scanning through summer stuff to find interesting things. This was an opera workshop for prodigy high schoolers from all over the country.

Stadium of Fire

the name makes me think of something KKK-ish. i don't know why. in reality it is the "country's largest freedom celebration." also known as the fourth of july, but in this case, it truly is the most gigantic celebration i've ever been to. a true spectacle way bigger than i imagined. and obviously, you can't have a true patriotic party without miley cyrus. (?) talk about a fun night.

Dedication Tim

...for keeping me on my toes.

This was an enjoyable headache. I couldn't identify any of the three performers these girls were crying, throwing elbows, hoping for backstage passes for. I gathered one was an Idol contestant years ago who faded from the minds of everyone except for those country fans who obsess over him. It was all part of the transitional celebration of Utah Valley State College to Utah Valley University. Which is apparently noteworthy enough for an all-day, all-night party.

City of Light

This city has kicked my butt in many more ways than one. Life on the great River.
